This is something I have been asked so many times in the past few months..."What is it like selling a home during a pandemic, and what changes can I expect from the normal selling process?"
Home buying and selling has seen a big shift during the Covid 19 pandemic. From medical waivers that need to be signed before a showing to wearing personal protective equipment when viewing a home to virtual open houses, virtual showings and virtual home evaluations it has become a different landscape all together.
While there is definitely an added layer of virtual everything to safety measures some things have remained the same. Offers are submitted the same way, at the end of the day the buyer sill wants to see the home they are purchasing in person and the home still has to be prepared for sale with decluttering, staging, cleaning etc.
Even though most buyers will want to see the home in person, I have personally seen buyers purchasing properties sight unseen, basing their buying decision on a 3D virtual tour.
The way realtors conduct business has evolved and many had to adapt to the new virtual way of doing business. It is now more important than ever for your home to have maximum online exposure, with the majority of buyers searching the Internet for new listings.
